Up Coming Shows 2023

Come out and see me at any one of the shows!

March 31 - April 1

Newport, North Carolina

Newport Pig Cooking Contest

Billed as the largest non-profit, all volunteer, pig-cooking contest in the United States, this is a great show to kick off a new year of festivals and art shows. And the barbecue is amazing.

April1 14 - 16

Wilmington, North Carolina

Azalea Festival

The Azalea Festival is awesome, awesome that is when the wind isn't blowing thirty miles an hour! This year the Azalea Festival can only improve. A perennial favorite in south-eastern North Carolina, the Azalea festival has it all: music, food, performers, parades, and every kind of vendor you can imagine. So whether your thing is photography or jewelry or woodworking or (and this is true) a long-dead megalodon tooth you better get yourself to the Azalea Festival.

April 29 - 30

Fayetteville, North Carolina

Dogwood Festival

One of my favorite festivals from last year, The Dogwood Festival has something for everyone. From lots of vendors to a wrestling ring, and great music, to a freestyle bike show, finding something interesting at the Dogwood Festival isn't hard.

May 6- 7

Charlotte, North Carolina

Kings Drive Art Walk

I have not done this particular art show before, but I have done their fall show at the exact same spot. It is a wonderful park to spend the afternoon. And it is even better with all the artist and craft makers!

May 13-14

Atlanta, Georgia

Chastain Park Spring Arts & Craft

This will be a first art show for me and the first time I will have set up in Georgia. But, if I am accepted, the show describes itself as "a two-day outdoor event with an emphasis on the visual arts and family fun, located in the largest public park in Fulton County."

Raleigh, North Carolina

I'm super excited about this "new-to-me event." Artsplosure describes itself as: "Raleigh Arts Festival is one of the most original and longest running arts festivals in North Carolina. Held annually on the third weekend of May in beautiful downtown Raleigh, the festival is a 2 day event and features an Art Market comprised of approximately 175 juried visual artists from across the United States showcasing works in ceramics, glass, fiber art, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, wood and more.

Recognized as a Best Art Event in Virginia it is a must see event. We invite you to join us for a stay and play weekend. Come for the art, stay for the excitement."

June 16-17

North Carolina
Blueberry Festival

Burgaw, North Carolina

North Carolina Blueberry Festival

Not yet Confirmed

The apple is never actually mentioned in the Garden of Eden story in Genesis. Early Christians actually speculated that it was a fig. Maybe they thought it figured. But what's also not mentioned in Genesis, but is true because I am telling you it is true, is the rows and rows and endless rows of blueberry bushes.

The Blueberry Festival is one of my favorites festivals not only because it is just down the road from my house but also because it showcases the greatest berry of them all. Move over strawberry, this is the Blueberry Festival!

June 24-25

Mocksville, North Carolina

Sunflower Extravaganza

This will be a "new-to-me" event. But who could want anything more than a show in a field of sunflowers!!

August 26-27

Cary, North Carolina

Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival

Not yet Confirmed

Like several others, this will be a "new-to-me" event but this is how they described the weekend. "For nearly half a century, the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival has welcomed guests from all over to the heart of downtown Cary, NC for two days filled with art, entertainment, food, and making memories. Dating back to the event’s conception in 1977, this juried craft show celebrates the “Lazy Daze” of summer, taking place the last weekend of August, and bringing together nearly 300 artists from 16 states across the U.S."

Who doesn't want to go to Blowing Rock?!? This show is going to be awesome. Here's what they have to say about it. "Art in the Park was created in 1962 by a handful of area artists and craftspeople to showcase local talent. 60 years after its start, Art in the Park is host to 94 artists at each show. Some of the best local and regional artists and craftspeople showcase their handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber, glass, metal, photography, painting and more."

October 14-15

New Bern, North Carolina

MumFest 2023

Is there anything better than a nice mum during October? Yes, yes there is. It's called MumFest. What could be better than a small southern town in the midst of autumn a stone's throw away from the beach? This will be a first time festival for me, but I've heard great things. I hope to see you there.

October 21-22

Topsail Island, North Carolina

Autumn with Topsail

Having lived in the Topsail area now for over a decade, plus spending no less than six months sitting on the end of the Jolly Roger Fishing Pier waiting for the big one to strike, I am well qualified to tell you that this little corner of the world is the best of the four. Autumn with Topsail is replete with music, food, and vendors. Whether intentional or not, small coastal town is the theme du jour.
